Artist Services

Iron Maiden - arguably one the most successful bands over the past 30 years, it continues to be one the highest grossing bands in the world today.

2010 - Western Front oversaw the marketing of “Final Frontier” the new studio album, which debuted at #4 on the Billboard top 200 albums (their highest career debut). The band went on to win a Grammy for “Best Hard Rock/Metal Artist”.

2009 - WF worked closely with UK management and UMe on the distribution and marketing of the platinum selling DVD and film Flight 666.

Duties included:

  1. -Overseeing the theatrical distribution and marketing of the movie including set-up of the film’s screening at SXSW film festival  – the film won the coveted “Audience Award” and opened in 44 US markets (D&E distribution).

  2. -Marketing of the DVD/LP/CD releases through UMe.

  3. -Rock Band edition marketing plan.

  4. -Airing of the film on VH-1.

Fanfarlo is a London based band Western Front developed from their introduction to the US market to signing a multi-album deal with Canvasback/Atlantic Records in the fall of 2009. 

WF secured their first airplay on leading taste maker radio stations including KCRW and WXPN – both of which ended up becoming major supporters including recording MBE and World Café sessions. 

WF worked closely with the band’s UK management on hiring suitable independent PR, Online Marketing and Radio Promotion companies. 

Additional duties included:
- Construction of project P&L, goals and strategies.
Weekly call with team to discuss progress and outlay marketing strategies and goals for coming week.
Production of debut CD “Reservoir” – oversaw all aspects from artwork to Delivery of finished stock.
Working closely with agent and promoters on marketing the tour dates.
Secured an iTunes Session that was recorded in Los Angeles in September.

Dew Process is the premiere independent music company in Australia for Management, Label, Touring, Festivals and Public Relations.

Western Front assisted in the U.S. launch of the label at SXSW in May 2008, followed by managing the fall release of four albums: Whitley’s “The Submarine”, The Panics “Cruel Guards”, Powderfinger “Dream Days at the Hotel Existence” and a digital EP from new comers Yves Klein Blue. WF recruited a custom team to cover all aspects of marketing these four releases. 

Whitley opened for all the dates on Ben Kweller’s fall tour and has had songs licensed to Starbucks (Have You Heard It series and weekly download), One Tree Hill and Army Wives TV shows. The Panics have been licensed to the Ugly Betty TV show and online to Machinima.com. 

Powderfinger’s “Drifting Further Away” was licensed to Grey’s Anatomy.

Furthermore on Powderfinger, Western Front worked directly with iTunes US on developing an exclusive “Best of” compilation, that was featured on the home page in the weekly iTunes newsletter blast.

Western Front consulted artist management in the securing and negotiation of a record distribution deal including the band’s retention of the digital rights. WF also recruited a team to help develop and execute the marketing campaign in support of the band’s 5th album. The team included staff from leading industry companies like Press Here, Filter and Zync licensing. WF developed some innovative online strategies including free download of their album with the purchase of a concert ticket.

Machinima is the most popular online site for Gamers. It currently has over 100 million views a month and is fast becoming the channel in the third wave of TV media to reach the coveted young male demo.


Western Front consulted Machinima on their music strategy and arranging introductions to major Labels and Publishers.


Sigur Ros

In 2007 WF worked closely with UK based management on the North American theatrical and DVD release of the film “Heima” and accompanying double CD set “Hvarf/Heim”. WF responsibilities included the development and execution of marketing strategies, i.e. in Los Angeles the film and band played at the AFI Festival, UCLA and the Vista Theater over the span of four days. These events were built from the ground up to accommodate the band’s performance and the screening of the film in 5.1 surround sound.

“Riceboy Sleeps” is a hard bound book of poetry and drawings by Jonsi. WF found and negotiated a publishing deal for the book with DAP Publishing for North America.

Brooke Fraser is a leading singer/songwriter from New Zealand having sold over 250,000 albums in Australasia.

Western Front found and helped negotiate a North American distribution deals with Redeye and Chrematizo Distribution networks for Brooke’s   catalog including her new album “Albertine”.

Also Western Front:

  1. -Developed a yearlong marketing strategy that was built around Brooke’s touring.

  2. -Hired and managed a full label team to execute the plan. The team achieved a top 10 single at CCHR and CAC radio and an Editor’s Pick on Itunes that sold 14,000 albums over two weeks and debuted “Albertine” on the Billboard top 100 album chart.

  3. -Sales to date of the album are over 60,000 and Brooke has gone from headlining small clubs to playing theaters with 500 to 1000 capacities in the major cities across North America.

  4. -Brooke released “Flags” her third album through Western Front/Wood & Bone Records in October 2010. Worldwide sales are in excess of 250,000.

Tiny Ruins is a New Zealand based artist lead by Hollie Fullbrook. In 2013/14 Western Front introduced the artist to the US market securing: live shows including LA’s Culture Collide, airplay on leading radio stations KCRW, WFUV and KEXP, consulted on record and publishing deals and oversaw the successful application for a US O1 working visa.
